What does Merge PDF do?

Merge PDF combines two or more PDF files into a single document. You choose the files, put them in the order you want, and download one PDF that contains every page. The pages keep their original quality, text stays selectable and nothing is converted to images, so the merged file looks exactly like the originals.

How to use Merge PDF

1. Press the upload area (or drop files onto it) and choose two or more PDF files.
2. Use the arrow buttons to change the order. The first file in the list becomes the start of the new PDF.
3. Press Merge PDF. The combined file is downloaded as merged.pdf.

When is it useful?

• Joining scanned pages of a contract or application into one file.
• Sending one attachment instead of five when an e-mail or online form allows only one file.
• Putting a cover letter, CV and certificates together for a job application.
• Collecting monthly invoices or bank statements into a single yearly file.

Example

You have cover.pdf (1 page), report.pdf (12 pages) and appendix.pdf (4 pages). After merging in that order you get one 17-page PDF that starts with the cover and ends with the appendix.

Good to know

• Everything happens in your browser, so your PDF is never uploaded to our server. Very large files (hundreds of pages) can take a while on older phones.
• Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened. Remove the password with the program you used to set it, then try again.
• Bookmarks and form fields of the original files may not be carried over to the merged document.

No. Merge PDF works entirely in your web browser. Your files are read and processed on your own device and are never sent to our server, so nothing is stored.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no fixed limit, but very large files need more memory. If a big file is slow on your phone, try it on a computer.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It runs in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer - there is nothing to install.
