Runs in your browser: your files and text never leave your device.
Conversion runs in your browser; your data is not sent anywhere.
What does YAML to JSON do?
YAML to JSON converts YAML configuration or data into JSON. It supports nested objects, lists, numbers, booleans and multi-document YAML files, and points to the exact line and column when the YAML is invalid. You can choose 2 or 4 space indentation or minified output.
How to use YAML to JSON
- Paste your YAML into the left box (an example is loaded).
- Choose the indentation.
- Press Convert, then copy the JSON or download it as a .json file.
When is it useful?
- Using a Docker Compose, Kubernetes or GitHub Actions config in a tool that expects JSON.
- Checking that YAML indentation is correct.
- Turning hand-written YAML data into JSON for an API.
Example
name: AvinTools becomes
features:
- pdf{"name": "AvinTools", "features": ["pdf"]}.
Good to know
- Conversion runs in your browser; your data is not sent to any server.
