JSON Viewer

What does JSON Viewer do?

The JSON Viewer displays JSON data as a collapsible tree, so you can explore nested objects and arrays without getting lost in brackets.

How to use JSON Viewer

  1. Paste your JSON into the editor (or press Sample).
  2. Press View.
  3. Expand and collapse objects to explore the data.

When is it useful?

  • Explore an API response
  • Find a value deep inside a large JSON file
  • Understand the structure of unfamiliar data

Good to know

  • JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) stores data as objects in curly braces with "key": value pairs, and lists in square brackets. Keys and text values must use double quotes.
