Sitemap XML Generator

Runs in your browser: your files and text never leave your device.

Google uses <loc> and an accurate <lastmod>; it ignores changefreq and priority. Up to 50,000 URLs per sitemap.

What does Sitemap XML Generator do?

Sitemap XML Generator turns a list of page addresses into a valid sitemap.xml file that you can submit to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. Paste your URLs, choose whether to add the last-modified date, change frequency and priority, and download the finished file. Duplicates and invalid lines are removed automatically.

How to use Sitemap XML Generator

  1. Paste the full URLs of your pages, one per line.
  2. Choose the optional fields (the defaults follow Google's recommendations).
  3. Press Generate sitemap, then download or copy the XML.
  4. Upload sitemap.xml to your website and submit its address in Search Console.

When is it useful?

  • Small static websites without an automatic sitemap.
  • Telling search engines about new or important pages quickly.
  • Creating a separate sitemap for a section of a site.

Example

Pasting three URLs gives a file with three <url> entries, each with a <loc> and today's <lastmod> date.
